    ColdFusion Problem

    Hi, i have a little problem in ColdFusion...

    I have a IIS server with ColdFusion.
    I have applied "Basic Security" on a folder, so it's my NT domain
    who authenticate the user...

    It seems that variables are passed in the HEADER of the HTML
    (AUTH_USER, AUTH_PASSWPRD, ...) in clear text...

    I would like to see theses variables on my Coldfusion page !!!
    Is there any function to make that ?

    Please help me !

    Regards,
    Ced

    Ced,

    In ColdFusion, all environment variables are called CGI Environment Variables, and can be accessed by prepending CGI. to the variable name (like you would do with #FORM.variable# or #URL.variable#).

    So, to see the authenticated user's name, you do:
    <cfoutput>
    #CGI.AUTH_USER# (or #CGI.REMOTE_USER#)
    </cfoutput>

    If you have the CFML Language Reference pages (they come with CFServer) you can read about all the CGI Environment Variables in Chapter 4's section about Variables (near the bottom of the page).
