Question confused...

ok here's my problem.... i'm trying to reformat my computer and i'm having error messages.... right now it's saying "please insert windows98 startup disk 2".. no matter what disk i put in, it doesn't work... and i'm also having problems with installing the cd-rom driver, i downloaded it and saved it to a disk, but I don't know how to install it.... any help with reformatting or installing the cd-rom drivers would really help me out...

Hi

Im guessing your new to this. Go to www.bootdisk.com,
follow this link - DOS - Windows 9X/Me/NT/2K/XP Excellent Bootdisks. Download this bootdisk file - Windows Me OEM.

run the file and let it write the information to a blank disk. Put the disk in the floppy drive and restart the computer. The cd-rom drivers will be automatically loaded with the boot disk. I think it tells you which drive is the cd-rom drive i.e. d:\ or e:\ or f:\ etc.

type format c: at the command prompt to format the c drive or format d: to format the d drive etc.

dont format unless your sure you can reinstall everything again after.

good luck!
