Data recovery from Zip disk????
Hi I was wondering if anyone has had any experience at being able to recover data from a corrupted zip disk.
I (stupidly) ejected a zip disk from the drive using the button on the front of the drive, then inserted a second disk. The drive then appeared to imprint a ghost image of the folder structure from the first disk on top of the folders on second disk so that the original folders on the second disk are no longer accessible. Has anyone ever heard of this happening, and if so is there anything I can do to access the original files before having to pay a data recovery company??? Cheers Marc |

Sounds to me as if you just did not unmount the first disk and thus the second disk wouldn't mount. This shouldn't be a problem if you simply reboot, it should be unmounted and I don't think anything has been done to the second disk, you should be able to just insert it again and it should work.
