Directions please!

Hi All,

I,ve finally found this site & hope it can be of help. Having looked around the knowledge is certainly here.
Currently I have a small hobby website offering rare/collectable UK vinyl records etc.

The aim of my project is to provide visiting web customers with the ability to search my stock using different criteria. Simple enough you say! Not really, as I have little knowledge of what's required & how to set about things. I do have an ISP who tell me Mysql & PHP are enabled. Having looked around I believe they are the programmes that are required.

Basically I'm looking for assistance & hand-holding as I would eventually like to know how my website is operating. So if anyone out there is up for the project I'd like to hear from you.
