Have problem...got tech answer...need explanation

Having problems w/home computer.......got techs solution, just need to know how.....

Techs solution:

1. Clear memory cache in my web browser
2. Check current version number of my browser.
3. Need to send him my PC's info (operating system, proceeeor/memory configuration, free capacity on hard drive)

Can anyone give me plain english instructions stepping me through this to ensure I do it right the first time?

Hi,

Depends what operating system you have, but at a guess, Windows xxx.

1: For internet explorer (IE):
Open browser. From the menu along the top, tools > Internet Options .
From the menu that pops up, click on Delete Files in the middle of the menu under tempory internet files. Then close the menu.

2: While IE is open, in the same menu as before along the topn, there is a option called. help . Click on it, then click on about from the drop down

3: Click on the "my computer" icon on your desktop. Then right click on your hard drvie icon, probably C. This will display size and available space.
