Use mozilla?
I kid. . . kind of. Mozilla rocks. You probably have some scumware program like Bonzi Buddy or Gator installed. Have you installed anything since the behaviour began? |

The only thing that i have installed lately is Kazaa and Adaptec 5 and the drivers for adaptec.

Kazaa did it, it installs crap.
Do a google search for "Kazaa and spyware," here's a result I got. http://news.com.com/2009-1023-885144.html I have no idea how to get rid of it, as I rarely use windows. I'm sure you'll find plenty of fixes at the end of a google search. |

Be warned friend...
Uninstalling the crapware from Kazaa will likely cause it to stop functioning.... don't know if there's any way to fix that. Other option: try to get a browser that ..ermm what's it called Altware, Allware, Aliware (floats like a butte.... never mind)... doesn't **** with. Gonna go get me some Chinese food... |

The wouldn't surprise me at all if it stopped fuctioning without the crapware. I uninstalled Kazaa compleatly and it didn't do jack. I don't have a clue what he's talkin about either Hero. What a pain in the *** this **** is.

?? Got a headache..
You can yank the *ahem* "extras" from the system, but it'll likely keep Kazaa from working if you do.. just saying, you probably can't use Kazaa without keeping the adware on your system, that's all... Now.. if you happen to be referring to my uhhh, "insight" into the browser switch, well, THAT I can't explain. I have no clue where that crap came from. |

You might want to look in the "Internet Explorer" directory under program files and look for unwanted files that are present.

get a copy of LavaSoft´s "AdAware", it can remove most known spyware. (epecially kazaa´s).
also there is "kazaa lite", which supplies a dummy DLL ("cd_clint.dll") to make kazaa think that "gator" (the spyware) is still there. don´t delete this one with AdAware! but afaik kazaa lite does not disable an already installed kazaa with spyware...
