Help with movie file please
didn't really know where to ask this so i guess the newbie section really is the place for me... anyway
several times in the past i have noticed that some movie files (.mpg, .avi, etc.) can open my browser to a specified webpage. I think i have only seen this with porn clips, you start the clip and at some point while it is playing BAM!... you are staring straight down the barrel of a website! I want to be able to do this. I have looked high. I have looked low. I am lost. I want my mommy. ..but i will settle for any answer that points me in the right direction. please help if you can. Please. <---- (note the begging and pleading!) |

Have you tried 'view source' on pages where the video plays automatically? Information on how to setup an <object> tag to autoplay a video can be found here: http://htmlhelp.com/reference/html4...ial/object.html

thank you very much for the reply. I dont have any of the movie files now. I wish i did, because i think you are right. It would help a great deal to be able to view the page's source code. but alas now in this late hour I realise the folly of my ways.
Anyway. It is something intrinsic with the movie file itself..... I think I have a lead with "Web link" commands in Premier. |

Actually, all you have to do is set a <param autoplay='yes'> tag w/in the <object></object> tags, and the video will play once the page is loaded. Check out the link in my last post, it provides an example. |

drgroove, you aren't getting what he's asking about (happens to the best of us
). He's not saying that he loads a page and a video starts playing, he's saying he downloads a video, and when he plays it (in say, media player), it opens his browser and displays a page. The "web link" in Premier is a good lead... |

Thank you Karsh44.
For anyone else interested I have also had someone point me towards DRM "Digital Rights Management" |
