I have been asked to take approx. 300 word documents and put them online in a searchable format.
I have no clue where to begin. Our webserver is running a windows platform. We use Frontpage and Dreamweaver to create out htm pages. Any suggestions, tips, websites to research would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance |

you'll need a database to store all the documents, such as mysql, postgresql. http://mysql.com, http://postgresql.com
you'll need to know how to use perl - devshed.com or php - php.net to search that database. Also search these forums for Prev/next, since you might need that to display results in multiple pages. But i'm a newbie, maybe one of the experienced people will explain it to you in details. Last edited by wannabe : March 5th, 2003 at 09:36 PM. |
