how to set up a lan?? need ?? help!
hello all;
i am trying to set up a lan network in my office, can someone advice me how to set up?? what software , hardware , cables i need to set up a lan?? how to deal with client and server can directly mail me at URL thanks a lot ................. a million/.......

A few questions first: 1. How many desktop/laptop computers will you have networked? 2. What OS's will be on the network (ie., what operating system are you using on your computers? Win2K? Apple?) 3. Will you be needing group internet access? If so, what kind (dsl? modem?) 4. What is your budget? (to the nearest $100) 5. Depending on the network size, you may need a full-time network manager - have you considered this in your IT budget? nao
