I was wondering if there was anyway that my web page can detect the users screen resolution and adjust it to fit accordingly? If so, can you please point me in the right direction or even better show me the script for it?

you can get the screen resolution but that doesnt mean that the browser is that size. Many people that run high resolutions do not have the browser window maximised.

the best option is to use tables and set the outermost table's width to 100%
