i just dont understand how to setup a form in flash. and how to configure cgi script to make it send the user info to an email address...can anybody give me a step by step list on how to make a working form in flas, include what I need to do in my root directory to make everything work.
I'm sure I am just not understanding something basic...but I have such a headache that I am ready to give up! URL |

"Missing something basic"? Maybe the ActionScript part that is required for using Forms in Flash?
Macromedia.com should be your primary source looking for step-by-step guides. Hereīs the Flash part of it: http://www.macromedia.com/support/f...nts/f4_form.htm And the CGI part depends on your preferred programming language. For PERL and PHP, there is lots of them here: www.devshed.com. M. PS. You donīt need to setup anything in your "root directory". Only your cgi has to be stored in a cgi-enabled directory (commonly "cgi-bin")
