iis configuration

I'm trying to get my site on-line with no success!!

I can view it internally through localhost, but am having no luck in connecting it to the internet, I don't think iis is regognising my homepage, i get this message:

Your Web server lists the following files as possible default Web pages: default.htm,default.asp,index.htm,iisstart.asp. Currently, only iisstart.asp exists.

how do I get iis to regognise my index.php file as my homepage?

any help would be appreciated!!

thanks

First create a file with one of those names you listed and see if you could view those from the Internet. If you can, then you will simply need to change a value in some IIS configuration. I don't use IIS (use Apache, damnit! ), so I don't know how that would work.

If you did that and you still can't see your pages from the Internet, then there will be a different problem (maybe your server address wasn't set up properly).
