I'm pretty new to Linux and UNIX admin generally, but with lots of Unix development experience.
I'm trying to get my Linux (Redhat 6.1) and Windoze98 to talk to each other, but they appear about as ready to talk as Arafat and an Israeli settler. I've managed at one time to get ftp to work between them, but I've long since lost even that again. I want to eventually develop my website at home, using the Linux box as my webserver. Can anyone recommend a very good website that can hold my little hand through this very stressful time? |

Samba has some help files under man samba, man smbd, and man nmbd which may help.
You may also want to try http://www.samba.org, http://howto.tucows.com which has both man pages and Howto's Also, there is an excellent book from Sam's publishing titled "Teach yourself Samba in 24 hours". ------------------ Jefferson Greene |
