Hi,
I've just started a new job and we have a cobalt RAQ 3 server which I have never used before (never used Linux either). I am going to develop a database app but they don't have PHP or MySQL installed on the server.
I've looked in the manual and it seems to be quite straightforward as long as I have the software but it's a live server and I dont want to mess around with it.
Our hosting company says they'll do it for £80 an hour!! Is this a con?
How smoothly do these installs go? WIll it just be a straight case of pointing to the file and pressing install?
I dont want to bring the whole server down.
Any advice you have will be great
Thanks Kerry
