i had windows and linux (6.2) installed on my system , but i had to reinstall windows and i found that lilo is gone . i neither have the installation cd's for 6.2 nor do i have any boot floppy for 6.2 . how can i install lilo as my boot manger and boot to linux.
i even tried with boot magic but that does not seem to work . it is able to boot into windows but not into linux. please elp soon.

It looks like you don't have much experience with booting, so i think the best way is to make Linux boot floppys from images. try downloading them from internet.
of course there are other ways. like to install bootloader (such like grub)into floppy and use it to load linux, but probably you will need another Linux(Unix) machine to make that floppy and at first to learn more about grub it self. http://www.uruk.org/orig-grub/ http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/ ________________ sorry for my English it's getting better  [Edited by Sonis on 03-08-2001 at 06:20 AM]
