Need GUI help
Ok, I'm helping to set up old computers for donation to community groups etc.. We are looking for linux distros that will run on them and have tried Mandrake, Red Hat, Debian & Slackware, to no avail. We think the problem may GUI based, what are my options if we want to install linux (any distro) with a GUI but have major problems with resources (remember old computers, ie. around 800 meg, pentium II, 64 meg Ram)? Should we be using or avoiding any particular distros or GUIs to avoid the system being resource heavy? Or should we just give up on linux alltogether? If there is a way it can be done we would like to, but we've been trying for a while. Please help.
