Need help i bought new headphones and mic aint working..

My mic is not working but my sound is and i've tryed everything and i don't know what to do............ Can anyone help me? Does anyone know what's wrong? I just bought the headphones yesterday their from platronics

No, idiot. I have no clue and I am sure no one else does either. you really should provide some detail if you expect good help.

However, now that I have soundly spanked you for being bad, I will give you some ideas of what to check.

Is your microphone volume muted in your sound controls?

How is the sound volume of your microphone?

Have you tried this mic/headphone combo on a different computer?

Have your tried a mic that you know works on this computer.

Use the process of elimination to decided whether it is a hardware or software problem. If your headphone/set mic combo won't work on any computer, and other microphones will work on your computer or elsewhere, then it is safe to say you bought defective hardware. Take it back to the store.

Yes, These headphones won't work i have nothing mutted i did everything you can do in windows.

I've tryed otherheadphones and they worked with no problem and i just got my new pc amd 2600 1 gig ddr ram.

I bought these headphones yesterday and the sound works but the mic doesn't, So i think i well return them today....
