New Guy To Everything
Ok, i am new to EVERYTHING here. i dont know what any of this is, but i am very intrested and am trying to learn. So, that being stated, can someone please explain what all of these terms and everything means and is?

That could take a long while...Apache - central point of our world. Baiscally its an app which server web pages and prased some programming languages for ya. Must have. Perl/PHP - two most popular programming languages for the internet. Don't ever ask which is better perl or php ![]() MySQL - database where we keep information. Also related: PostgreSQL and Firebird. Not related - mssql. mssql is just another word for bull****. unix/linux - god's gift to humans. Microsoft - god's only curse to humans. Art thou villian, bill! I know that wasn't very descriptive, but still true What kind of stuff are you most inetrested in? web? networks? server administration? programming?

The probelm with being a newbie is that you don't even know enough to formulate a good question. (Newbies in generial, not you specifically Juno_Trevan!)
The irony is that some knowledge is required in order to ask the questions necessary to learn even more. ![]()
