I would suggest for you (and other newbs) to download PHP-Triad from sourceforge as it has mysql, apache and php and sets them all up ready for use. it also has gd, zip, etc.

computer

computer,
I'm interested in this thread too and have already been looking at Foxserv, PHP-Triad and Firepages. Can I ask this - will these packages work on win 98se?

I believe so.

I have php-triad running on several win2k and xp machines because it was simple to setup. runs almost strait out the box

although for complex setups, doing your own installations is a good idea.

it has phpmyadmin too.

anyway,
laters

Hmm I wonder if your PHP Code is wrong or you haven't started MySQL as a service..? Well in either case you should try to fix the code (or find help at the PHP Forum) or start the service and find help at the MySQL Forum Or you post your code here, if that is ok, computer?
