i have established a server and familiarized myself with html. i am using a pc with notepad. do i code in html in notepad, save it as html and upload it to see what happens. any help appreciated thanks in advance.

once you have saved the *.html - you can just view the file in your browser to test it to see if it works. once you are happy with the result you can then upload it to the site. Remember that if it is your main page to call it index.html or default.html
