OnLine Ticketing System
I want to create an online ticketing system that issues tickets takes orders for tickets etc.. I want to have barcodes on the tickets so when these tickets are presented to gain admission to a certain place they can be scanned. i would need a secure db and a secure web site just to begin. what wud be the best way to develop an idea like this and what add ons could be used to make project better

That is just for php based systems, there are more there written in PERL, JAVA, ASP, C++, etc at hotscripts.com. Some are pay, others are GPL, but you should be able to find something.
