Outlook autofill email

Does anyone know how to have the email addresses automatically fill in as I type them in Outlook. Netscape messenger, and Outlook express both have this feature. Basically you type in the first few letters of the person's name or email address, and it will fill the rest in for you. Outlook is forcing me to go to my address book everytime I want to add a new address.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Matt

shot in the dark

Here's one to try:

1. Open Outlook
2. Go to Tools | Options
3. Go to Email Options and then Advanced Email Options
4. Check the 'Suggest Names while completing To, Cc and Bcc fields'

Of course, if it's already checked then... I'm stomped.

Best,

nao

Unhappy maybe different version

Nao,

Thanks for the response. I'm wondering if we have different versions of Outlook or something. I'm using Outlook2000. I tried the steps that you are suggesting, but when I get to the "advanced email" section, there is no checkbox like you are describing. I've been through about every option they have, and still can find nothing. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Matt
