Plan to start new site(s) - Here are some ideas
I am thinking of creating a new website in the coming months(or up to 2 years... depending on how busy I get). This website will hopefully include the following.

I have come up with some ideas thanks to the help of some of my buddies. I would like some suggestions and more ideas are welcome. Details about the domain will not be released and Launch details will also not be given out at the current time, unless requested via PM. -At the current time, a domain name or Launch information has not been thought up as of yet.

Plan to start new sites covering the following news:

Main Site/Sub-Domain 1:
Top Stories
- US News
- International News
- Misc. News, News Opinion - This type of News seems to be up in the Air

Site/Sub-Domain 2:
Technology - This site will have some similarities to Neowin
- Current Tech News
- Hardware - News
- Software - Alpha, Beta, Release Candidate & Final Software News and Reviews
- Video Gaming News

Site/Sub-Domain 3:
Sports & Entertainment - (Possible split of Sports and Entertainment ... )
- Entertainment News - Music, Movie News & Reviews
- US National Sports - Scores, Records, Schedules, Results & Highlights
- International Sports - Scores, Records, Schedules, Results & Highlights

OR This could be the other website...

I am thinking of making a forum about forums, including events on different forums and Internet Bulletin Board Software Releases.

What will your site have that nobody else does? I can get all of this information already. Why would I (or anyone) visit your site instead of these other sites? That's what you need to think about.

That's true, and that is why I am sort of leaning toward the last idea of having a forum about forums, including events on different forums and Internet Bulletin Board Software Releases.

This will also probably be less difficult to run than those 3 sub-sites....

Good ideas but as Jeremy said you need to find out what makes you stand out from the crowd.

Perhaps you should run contests or give awards or something to attract visitors to your site.
