Question Programming Email Client

I need your opinions/suggestions on which program would be best to use in programming an email client.

I am not sure programming an email client would be something a beginner would want to do but it all depends on what operating system you want to use the client on and what you already know.

If you do not know anything then I would suggest python or java... I heard a few people say python is easier to learn and that is probably right as from what I recall it was built as a learning language but again it depends on the tools you have at your hands.

well once you figure out the language then you can search in those forums to see if the questions have been asked before. You can search on this question as well as I am sure it was asked before too.
