Retrieving Emails

This is my first time here and I hope that I am doing everything correctly. I would like to know if I can retrieve deleted email on my hard drive. I had the understanding the nothing is ever really deleted on your computer that it is there somewhere on your hard drive, is this true and if it is how do I go about retrieving aol emails? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well your first problem is that since you are using aol your emails reside on aol's servers and not your hard drive. Unless you are using outlook express or some other mail program of the sort to retrieve your emails.
