Shell Accounts
How do I know if I have a shell account, because I can't recall my ISP ever giving me information regarding this matter.
Another thing: how do I connect to it? Is this a question that can only be answered by my ISP? |

Oh... you little hacker you!
Well try telneting in port 23 with the domain name as yourisp.com or whatever. And if that don't work get a free one (or a good unrestricted one) from somewhere else. Just type it in your favorite search engine and you will find plenty. |

Many hosts (sensibly) won't allow telnet access for security reasons. Try to SSH to port 22.
