SSL Certificate

Not sure where to post this, so I will try it here.

I have to purchase a SSL Certificate for a third party application I recently purchased. I have never dealt with SSL certificates and I don't have the first clue on where to buy one, what to do with once I buy it etc.

I've seen some discount companies out there selling them, but don't know if they are as good as the ones from verisign. Do I have my hosting guy do something with it.

If anybody could give me the general rundown on them, it would be greatly appreciated.

SSL Cert.

Verisign is the place to do it if you wanna do it good with out
any security popup on your client's screens saying that the SSL
Cerificate being used by the Host is NOT on the trusted list.

That goes for IE in any case, dunno bout Netscape...
Anyone know if Netscape does it?

When you make up your mind and find out who is on the trusted list, Verisign is, and avoid security popups then the company who you purchase the SSL Cert from will give you the run down on how it works.

B4ll.
