I am designing a new website and have never worked with a template before. I bought one on-line and so far the company has been completely useless in helping me...nice huh?
Anyways, it's a standard HTML template and I am using FrontPage to build my site. The company told me to superimpose any images I want to change using Photoshop , but neglected to tell me how. I think I figured out how to change the text and buttons but as for the rest I'm completely lost. Any and all help with this would be totally awesome. Thanks in advance, Crash ![]() |

I think what they mean is go into photoshop and change the layers. It should still be spliced depending on how that company does their .psd files. Best thing to do would check their site for help files on how to edit. What company was it?

4templates.com
The company was 4templates.com and they have very little by way of tutorials.
Since the posting of my first message I have opened the .psd file and sucessfully changed the text. However, I still am unclear on how to add my own image. And even more unclear on what to do after that =( I'm told that I should open Frontpage and then open the index.html file. What's the point of editing the .psd file though? Am I supposed to open that in frontpage too? How do I edit the actual "index.html" template that I bought? See what I mean...I'm confused......must...find....help... Crash ![]() |

The .psd was built in slices, meaning it breaks up the images into chunks to fit in the .html file. So open it in Image Ready (comes with photoshop) and then click Save optimized, name it new.html and it will create a folder with sliced images. That will work =)

Thanks for the help =)
So when I go to make my website (navigation, pages etc) do I open the new file (that I saved in image ready) in frontpage? Thanks, Crash |

Well most likely what it is going to do is put the images in a folder called "images" Just transfer those images you created to the current images folder.
