HALP!!! I am completely clueless about making the background of a gif transparent!!! I'm using Paint. Oh please somebody give me good advice!

when you save as .gif. check the image attributes at Image -> Attributes . the transparency setting should now be enabled. set the transparency color to the background or to any color you want.
