Tryin to learn PHP, without buying books
I've been trying to learn php. I've been through the Devshed stuff and some other tutorials, but I kind of get frustrated with them because they either don't go far enough or they're too advanced. Does anyone know of a good tutorial that I can get on the internet that will give me what I need, from the very beginning to fairly advanced, without leaving gaps?

I say books are the way to go, I got a good php4 books, and in about a week or two I was already making simple programs. Plus they are always there for referrences.

Hi,
Try going to www.php.net---the home of php. You can also continually come back and read the forums. This is how I learned, even though I still consider myself a novice, I have learned a great deal from these two sites. A lot of your questions can be answered by doing this. Even if you havne't come across them yet. (future reference) Try, try, try coding and making mistakes. This frustrating but when you figure out the mistake(s) you feel like you are king of the hill. Good luck oach |
