Uploading files VIA FP 2000 to web host - Directory Question
I'm a fairly new user to FP 2000.
I have a question about directories, subdirectory. My Website is URL I have quite a few files that have the same name ie: pic 2 , pic 3 , etc. Also, page 1, page 2 etc. They are from different sites that I am moving from my old webhost.. I have Mopars in Barns, Blue ovals in Barns, and Bowties in barns. So, Mopars in barns would have a file called pic1 as well as say Bowties in barns having a file by the same name. I thought that I could have sub directories by those names that I could upload those specific files to. I also will have separate pages with the same name for each site. What do I have to do to accomplish this? I figured an url would be something like: URL or do I just name my page moparsinbarns/page43.htm ??? I am I right in the way I'm thinking?? If so, how do I create directories and how do I upload them via fp2000? I experimented with a directory called moparsinbarns but it wouldn't let me upload to it, keeps asking for my password again. All my files so far have been uploaded to 'home'. I publish all my files to URL Do I have to type something else in to go to a different directory other than 'home' ? My webhost is ipowerweb.com. Once I figure this out I'm sure it will save me a bunch of time - I don't want to have to rename all my files. thanks in advance, Scott |
