I am in need of some help. I am not familiar with computer lingo and apologize for it. I am building a website. I have taken just a beginning course in html.
I have a page where I have information such as a location search. I have listed available locations and so forth. Another page will allow for impute, from my available list, for locations and so forth. I want the location search and so forth to be able to draw up from what has been imputed on the other page. I also want an area where something similar to a resume could be entered and then posted, printed or submitted. My question is. What do I need to do, or learn, to be able to do that??? Do I need to build a data base first?? If so, how do I go about that? If I need to learn to cgi or php or whatever…which one do I need? Please help me pursue my dream. |

didn´t i answer this post just some minutes ago? uh, guess i pressed "reload" too fast or something...
let me try to reproduce it: you probably would want to learn MySQL and PHP. it´s easy to learn, free and available with most ISPs. Also there is plenty of documentation (books+online) and tutorials out there. if you did some programming before already, you´ll pickup it within a few days probably. here is a cool site that has lots of tutuorials about this: www.devshed.com
