apparently i posted in swahili...
<makes retard sign language movements with his hands>
why is coldfusion absent from this site?
we all seem to have bugs up our rearends?
perhaps a colonic will loosen you folks up a bit.
I have heard of PHP and it sounds very interesting, i have heard of many things that are interesting, thats one of the benefits of an open mind, you get exposed to much new info.
Apparently this is the pompous *** forum
i retract my question

bludhall - my answer was as good as it needed to be, was sincere and as polite as I could muster.

What answers did you expect -"Why is cold fusion absent from this site" is not much of a question at the best of times, and one best directed at the moderators of this forum.

"what is 1+1" is a question, "why is 1+1" is still a question but a bit daft.

If you had asked about a specific point on coldfusion I am sure that somebody would have answered you, or at least tried. There have been many a good thread on PHP vs Cold Fusion running here - with (IMHO) PHP winning hands down.

I have found most of the regulars at this forum very helpful and willing to please but you really need to give us something to get our pompous brains into gear.

Hi there!

I'm trying to research the best way to set up a database diven site using a h u g e database. It's interesting that coldfusion gets a relatively cold reponse from the forum, in that up till now, I've heard very little of php. I am still relatively new to the game, and have always used asp for any database linking. What are your thoughts on the relative attributes of asp / php? And is php hard to pick up?

If you feel you can help, please get in touch.

cheers

al
