wireless broadband router
I had a broadband connection through a adsl modem. works fine.
yesterday, for my birthday, i bought a d-link wireless broadband router DI-714P+ . Followed the manual, had the wireless lan part working, as the indicator is green in color, but can't access the internet. Any idea to help me here? thanks oldhand trying new stuff

Since the LAN part works then the DHCP server of the router is working, as the computers on the LAN are getting private IPs (192.168.x.x). It's most likely that the router isn't getting a public IP from your ISP. Sometimes you have to play with these things a little. There should be a web based interface to your router where you can go to either see what the WAN IP address is or assign it one according to your ADSL ISP specifics.
