Aim Client & MozillaFirebird
Alright, this is probably a dumb question... =X

Anyway, Im running FBSD 4.8 and I want to install GAIM (or AIM's Linux Client) and MozillaFirebird. And I'm not dumb, I know how to install the applications but, Im having trouble when they're not wanting to work. GAIM's client errors out in 'make' and MozillaFirebird doesn't even have the ./configure - make - make install, it's like it's a damn binary but it detars as an application... So any advice?

Use the ports collection and pkg_add for gAim. I believe the current version is 6.x, but it requires libraries that haven't been stabalized with FreeBSD 4.8. If you use pkg_add, it will install the latest version of gAim known to be stable with the stable libraries already installed with FreeBSD 4.8 (version 5.x). Check the gAim FAQ on their web site.

I can't help with Mozilla Firebird. It doesn't appear to be in the ports collection. It might show if you were to update collection.
