Apache won't start after install of php
I install apache 2 and it's running with no problem.
I install php 5 and now apache wont start, only if I comment out LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so I try php-5.0.4 and php-5.1.0b3 with httpd-2.1.6-alpha or httpd-2.0.54 Don;t know why apache wont start, I dont receive any error. Pease help. |

Perhaps there is some dependancy issue with libphp5.so. Have you checked /var/log/messages and your apache error_log as well. How about if you start it up with httpd -l.

I don't get anything in /var/log/messages or apache error_log
but I will try the -l option asap. Now I'm trying qmail. Thanks for your help. |

Well, the problem was that I didn't have zlib, so I install zlib-1.2.3 and now it rocks!!!
