./configure script not working /freeBSD4.11
I have tried to do as my book says about installing mysql4.1.11 server on my freeBSD4.11 server but it dowsnt work.
I am supposed to run ./configure script while in the /usr/ports/databases/mysql41-server/ directory, but the ./configure command doesnt do anything. Is there a problem on my machine? Paul |

Um, when you're using ports, you don't need to do a ./configure. A simple make install will do it all for you. You only need ./configure when you're installing from sources. Read man 1 ports for more information.
