Enabling USB2 support on Freebsd 4.10
Hi there
First of all, i'm a linux man. But i also manage some freebsd boxes. I'm running kernel 4.9 which only supported USB1. We need usb2 now for some external hdd's. I did some investigation and i compiled kernel 4.10 and enabled EHCI support in the kernel configfile. Compiled, installed and booted, everything looks fine. Except, i cannot find the ehci device anyware in the /dev/ or dmesg ... Usb discs are still functional but still at the blazing speed of 10 m/bs Did i forget something ? Thanks in advance, Patrick *sorry for my bad englinsh, i'm quite in a hurry ... ![]() |

I think 4.10 only supports some USB2 devices (at least that's what the release notes say).
Also note that the man pages for the ehci driver appears to be in the 5.2.x release, not the 4.10 release.
