Well, I'm a bit puzzled at this since I'm already running FreeBSD 5.0

And 5.1's out already I think. Refer to the FreeBSD home page for an explanation of the existence of a 4.9 and a 5.x. In brief, 4.9 is a stable release, 5.x is still experimental although not necessarily buggy.

4.8 treated me well, the cvsup to 4.9 was pretty painless and it's doing equally well. I think someone suggested I wait out for 5.2 before hitting the 5.x chain. 4.9's currently doing everything I ask it, so I've no motivation to change.

I have 5.0-CUrrent on my test box..oh wait, that *is* a test box.
Still, I love the cvsup command. Why I switched all of our linux boxes to FreeBSD... |
