FreeBSD 6.2 ISO
Hi,
I have never used any .nix operating system. I just downloaded 6.2-RELEASE-i386-disc1. I used fdimage.exe and created bootable floppy disks boot.flp,kern1.flp,kern2.flp,kern3.flp. I assume I boot my PC with boot.flp and I would be required to provide ISO. How do I create bootable CD(ISO)? Unpacked folder "6.2-RELEASE-i386-disc1" has over 1 GB. Thank you. |

FreeBSD comes with 3 ISOs for CDs.
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/ISO-IMAGES/6.2/ Did you download a DVD ISO perhaps. By the way, you can use any decent CD burning software to create a bootable CD. All you do is point your software to the ISO image and that should take care of it all. You don't need to create floppies if you have a CD on your machine.
