freebsd + d-link 660+ = problem

I have installed FreeBSD 4.5

And I have a problem with configuring mi PCMCIA ethenet card.

Pccardd says: "driver allocation failed, driver not configured"

I tried to compile the kernel with driver ed but it didn't help.

What should i do?

Review dmesg and see if your card pcic controler was detected. If so have a look at /etc/defaults/rc.conf. Pccard is set to off by default. Have you copied the line to /etc/rc.conf and changed NO to YES yet?

Pccard support in the release version was sketchy at best. It's improved in the stable version though.

You could subscribe or watch the freebsd-mobile mailing list for extra pointers and help.
