ftp runs on PC1(FreeBSD).
I can connect from PC1(FreeBSD) to my shared hosting server(Linux).
What I do not know is how to connect FTP on PC2(Windows) to PC1(FreeBSD).

So your ftp server is running on the FreeBSD machine and you can ftp to it?

So what youre really saying is that you dont know how to ftp from the windows machine to the FreeBSD box or you dont know how to ftp to the windows machine?

What exactly are you trying to do? Is this really a FreeBSD question? Are you just looking for a FTP routine to run on a cron?

Yes.

I dont know how to ftp from the windows machine to the FreeBSD box.

I use WS_FTP Pro and it wants to know
Hostname
UserID
Password

I assume I need to set up some username and password and set some folders that can be accessed by this UserID
on FreeBSD machine in order to
make a FTP connection from Windows machine.

you need to give a username and password on the ftp server that you can use. then you need to put the ip address of the ftp server in the hostname box.
