Getting OpenBSD
I've been trying for ages to get the kernel source of openbsd. From what I can see its only available from cvs, but when I try to get it from cvs I get an error message about being unable to create directory "/cvs".
That seemed pretty simple, just sudo it. well apparently not... Any ideas? Also I'm not entirely sure i've picked up the right tree in the webCVS, could someone provide a link to the kernel for i386 please? What would be even better is a tar of a recent snapshot source. Also I went to download the ISOs for burnage onto a CD but apparently theyre difficult to locate too. Why does CVS have to be so awkward. Thanks. |

I usually download the source.tar.gz and untar it first. Then I use cvs to update the tree. This is a lot faster than using cvs to download it from scratch. Have you tried the FAQ: http://www.openbsd.org/anoncvs.html. Be sure to read the example usage of cvs at the bottom of the page. This has always worked for me.
