I think i've gathered enough courage to attempt a FreeBSD installation. I am, though, still wondering if it will be compatible with all my hardware, and if it will reconize the my intergrated nic (on my motherboard).
I'd also like to thank 'freebsd' as he was the one who made me change my mind about Linux and decide to give FreeBSD a go. |

The best part about FreeBSD is the handbook:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.IS...book/index.html Go to section 2.10, read, click the "Release Information" link, click "Hardware Notes" for the release you're installing, select your platform. In general, if your computer is a little older and from a popular company such as Dell, you shouldn't have a problem. If you're using something a little off-beat and/or brand new, you may have to wait.
