All you have to do is install sysutils/bsdstats. If you cvsup or portsnap first, then you will get the latest version of bsdstats, which includes a simple setup wizard. The stats reported are completely anonymous, but provide a good idea of the types of computers and hardware being used with *BSD, as well as (hopefully, users get involved) a clue as to how prevalent the *BSDs are out there.
