I really really need help, serverloads 60+, few visitors, host clueless
We have ongoing issues with our server for a long time. Experts are telling me it is a good server, we have little traffic (getting less and less this way).
6GB of RAM
CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.00GHz (3000.12-MHz K8-class CPU)
Logical CPUs per core: 2
FreeBSD/SMP: Multiprocessor System Detected: 4 CPUs
Sample output of TOP:
Anything we can derive from that?
If ANYbody could help us in the right direction, that'd be golden!

If you have more active HTTPD processes than visitors it might indicate that your application code is doing something dumb like connecting to itself over HTTP.
One of the more common problems I see is someone who triggers 404 errors on their 404 page (by linking to non-existent images/scripts/stylesheets).

Try to activate status module in additional config files - this way you will see the requests which are bombing your server
