hotplug keyboards?
i took out my keyboard to plug it into a switcher and connected the switcher to my monitor keyboard and mouse for use amount 2 computers but i had to hard boot bsd to get the keyboard to respond (no network to shut it down remotely) - is it possible to make the keyboard recognised and reinitialised when i plug it back in?

Are you using Belkin?
I've found the only way with those is unfortunatley a hard reboot. |

Oh hey, try this, here's an article on hot plugging the keyboard.
I haven't tried this so don't know if it works, and the keyboard switcher might complicate it... http://www.freebsddiary.org/headless.php |
