How to give a freebsd group of users the right to halt the system
I just tried freebsd (installed php+apache+mysql) and it seems to behave quite well (faster than my previous RedHat box).
And the ports solution is pretty good. Now I try to accommodate with my box and got the following problem. I installed freebsd (5.0) on a workstation as well. The point is that at the end of the day i want to give certain users the posibility to halt (reboot ) the system. How I can do that ? (I just looked everywhere: freebsd site, google but it seems that I can't find the answer of what it seems to be a simple operation ....) Best regards ! |

Add the users to group 5 (operators).
Simple, quick and secure. K.C. |
