How to specify prefix
I have been trying to install netpbm from the ports tree. I need to install it to /var/www though because I am running Apache chrooted. I have been trying by specifying the prefix but I must be doing something wrong because it keeps installing to the normal location.
This is what I've tried so far. make --prefix=/var/www make --PREFIX=/var/www env PREFIX="/var/www" could anyone please tell me what the correct way of doing this is? BTW it's openBSD 3.2 |

I think "PREFIX" is a make variable which you have to define like this:
make install -DPREFIX=/var/www But not 100% on that. Maybe you have to pass it to the configure script instead. hth, M.
