lp0 and faith0?
I've only been using freebsd for about 10 days, so bear with me please.
I (think) know what lp0 (parallel) and faith0 (ipv4->ipv6) is. But I don't know why they're active. I'm not using any parallel-device nor ipv6. So my question is, do I really need these? If not, how do I disable them? lp0: flags=8810<POINTOPOINT,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 faith0: flags=8002<BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 |

It's time that you should learn how to compile a custom kernel and disable craps you don't need. Though, regardless of what OS you run, you should learn how to disable/enable things in your motherboard CMOS.
